Join us today, September 10, 2013, for lectures by two distinguished scientists.

3 pm: Sir Martin Rees presents "From Mars to the Multiverse"

Sir Rees is Lord Rees of Ludlow, Astronomer Royal, UK; former Master of the Trinity College, Cambridge; and the president of the Royal Society, among many other honors and distinctions. For more on Sir Rees, go to http://www.ast.cam.ac.uk/~mjr/.

4 pm: Prof. Gunther Hasinger presents "Black Holes and the Fate of the Universe"

Dr. Hasinger is the director of the Institute for Astronomy, University of Hawaii; former director of the Astrophysics Institute, Potsdam, and Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, among many other honors and distinctions. The lectures are in the Hameetman auditorium of the Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Caltech, located at 1216 E. California Blvd. In Pasadena, CA.

These lectures are free and open to the public. Seating is limited and is on a first-come basis.
