Faculty Hosts Wanted for CTLO's Summer Research Connection (SRC) Program

February 24, 2021

Faculty Hosts Wanted! The Summer Research Connection (SRC) is a 6-week program for K-12 science teachers and high school students. Participants are placed in research groups at Caltech where they spend approximately 20 hours per week conducting scientific research in assigned student-teacher teams under the guidance of research mentors. This program serves as the key element of the Broader Impacts Plans for many NSF grants campus-wide.

If you would like to learn more about how your research group can participate in this program, please contact Mitch Aiken, Associate Director of Educational Outreach at the CTLO.

In 2020, SRC was operated entirely remotely. Final seminar presentations given by the research teams are featured on our Youtube channel:

Other examples of the high quality of research performed in Summer Research Connection include this paper by Daniel Martinez and Rohith Sajith who participated in the summer of 2018 and this paper by 2019 SRC researcher Dennis Raush and his Caltech mentors.

We look forward to hearing from you!
