EXPLiCIT presents "Arsenic and Old Lace"

July 31, 2019

What's better than experiencing open-air theater on a lovely summer evening? Nothing! Especially if you're in the garden of Caltech's historic Alumni House, and the play is the hilarious dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. So come join the fun, join the laughter, and find out why this witty, wacky play about murder and mayhem has won over audiences for more than 75 years.

EXPLiCIT (Extracurricular Players at Caltech) presents six performances of the classic dark comedy: Friday through Sunday, August 9–11; and Thursday through Saturday, August 15–17. All performances begin at 8:00 p.m.

Admission (cash at the door) is $10, or $5 for students with ID. You may reserve tickets for a specific performance, but be aware that unpaid reserved tickets will be released 10 minutes before curtain.

For more information, including a full cast list, please see the Facebook event page.

(Fun fact: The play is most famous because of the 1944 screen adaptation starring Cary Grant. That film was directed by Frank Capra, a Caltech alumnus.)

Arsenic and Old Lace is produced by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc. of New York.
