International Women's Day Celebration and Photography Opening

Lunch Reception

414 S. Holliston Center for Student Services 1st floor Lobby
Please join Caltech's Center for Diversity and International Student Programs in celebrating International Women's Day through the art opening of Women Can Build, a photography exhibit with Jobs to Move America that reveals the overlooked contributions of skilled and hard-working women in industry.

We will hear insights from esteemed faculty

Dr. Azita Emami, Professor of Electrical Engineering

Dr. Simona Bordoni, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering

on how women around the world are achieving and fighting for equal rights, equal pay, access, and opportunity in the workplace.

The exhibit features 10 photos and stories of historic and modern-day "Rosies,"a term coming from "Rosie the Riveter," as cultural icons of the United States, representing women who worked manufacturing jobs in WWII, replacing men who were in the military.

We hope you'll join us in this unique celebration of International Women's Day.
