Trimotif

Trimotif—an ensemble with a penchant for tangents and an inclination towards crossover—is a group of flute, oboe, bassoon, and piano/composer that explores musical expression absent the confines of a defined genre. Though their point of departure is classical music they venture out into diverse genres including jazz, Latin, and early music with improvisation as an integral part of their work. Pianist/composer Bill Cunliffe frequently composes original works for the ensemble and musical collaborators are often added to the mix. Our programs cultivate a warm interactive atmosphere.

The ensemble will perform a program of works by Bach, Poulenc, Rachmaninoff, Previn, and Cunliffe.
