TAPIR Seminar
Understanding the formation and evolution of massive black holes is critical for understanding the galaxies in which they evolve. The general picture if that 10^6 solar mass black holes are hosted in roughly Milky Way mass galaxies. However, I will show that recently detected dark star clusters around Centaurus A likely host black holes > 10^5 solar masses. I will then discuss prospects for the detection of the seeds of these black holes with JWST.
