EFT of large scale structure, symmetries and constraints
Mehrdad Mirbabayi, IAS Scholar, School of Natural Sciences, Institute for Advanced Study (IAS),

I will briefly introduce EFT of large scale structure (LSS) as a systematic perturbative approach to study structure formation. I will identify the symmetries and unique features of the system which determine the structure of EFT expansion. I will show how these symmetries can be used to make non-perturbative predictions about the baryon acoustic peak in the matter correlation function. Finally, I will show how EFT allows us to get unbiased constraints on cosmological parameters from LSS surveys.
