In this talk, I will summarize the study of the CGM properties using cosmological simulations my collaborators and I did in recent years. I will show the main results we obtained on the dependence of CGM properties with halo mass and redshift by analyzing the VELA and NIHAO simulations. I will also present the third paper of the AGORA collaboration showing some preliminary results on the analysis of the dependence of CGM properties on the used code/SNe feedback. Finally, I will talk about two proposed future space mission we named DUNES and ARRAKHIS. These missions, among others, pursue the objective of confirming the presence of a change in the CGM properties when the virial shock is created, i.e., to observe the predicted mass dependence by the theory of galaxy formation and evolution.
