1870s New Orleans. Mardi Gras. Three women: the first to be married to a rich Spanish noble, the second destined to live out her life in confinement, the third the most famous courtesan in the South.

A Colonel, his Lieutenant, a sailor, and a carpetbagger in town looking for love, danger, and romance. Add to the mix Tejano Spanish aristocracy, servants, revelers, and thieves.

Live Cajun Creole music! A cast of forty! A clash of honor & morals!

Witness what happens when these women push beyond social boundaries in search of fulfillment.

Directed by TACIT director Brian Brophy, the resituated play was originally penned by Aphra Behn, England's first professional female writer.
