This chamber music program will feature light chamber music for a spring Sunday afternoon. Included are pieces for piano duet, and for flute, violin, and piano by 19th century Russian military engineer turned composer César Cui. Dances for piano duet by Robert Schumann, a fiery Tarantella for flute, clarinet, and piano by Saint-Saëns, a setting of Scottish Folk Songs for strings and piano by Gustav Holst, an elegant quintet by J. C. Bach, and stylish trio for flute, violin, and piano by Jean Françaix will complete the program.

A free reception for all will follow the performance.

The instrumental music program at Caltech includes more than 20 different small chamber ensembles (in addition to the Jazz Bands, the Concert Band, the Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra)! Please note that each of the concerts listed as "Student Chamber Ensembles" throughout the year is unique, with different selections by different groups!
