Professor Max Irvine, a consulting engineer based in Sydney, will talk about this slender structure, now nearing completion on the SE coast of England.
Its genes are almost identical to those of its older sibling, the London Eye, now some 15 years old.
The talk will address fluid - structure interaction and it may dwell on the importance of check lists, by which one tries to avoid missing something.
The Mayor of Brighton & Hove will open the i360 on 1 July, 2016.
