Science & Engineering in The Expanse: A Panel Discussion with Cast and Crew
- Internal Event
The Expanse is a science-fiction series that doesn't skimp on the science — with allowances for storytelling, the showrunners focused on getting the physics, astronomy, biology and social science right. Often referred to as "Game of Thrones in space," The Expanse explores a realistic future in which humanity has colonized Mars and the asteroid belt. There's no warp speed travel, no artificial gravity, and no magically-terraformed Martian surface — just the struggles of people trying to survive in environments for which humans are not adapted.
You're invited to join the cast and crew of The Expanse for a panel discussion around how science and engineering come to life within the world of this television series.
Panelists will include:
- Bob Munroe, VFX supervisor (The Expanse, Altered Carbon)
- Glenton Richards, Writer (The Expanse)
- Nadine Nicole, Actress (The Expanse, The Young and the Restless)
- Other special guests
Join in person at Pickering Auditorium or online via Teams
