Queer Me Out: LGBTQIA+ Short Talk Series
There are many challenges for individuals from sexual and gender marginalized groups in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Students and professionals may not feel comfortable coming out to their peers, colleagues, and friends for fear of feeling unsafe or unwelcome. Knowing the many challenges and barriers for queer and trans folks in STEM, PRISM and the CCID are hosting a series of short talks focusing on the intersectionality of LGBTQIA+ identities and STEM fields. Join us in welcoming scientists, including graduate students, postdocs, and staff at Caltech and JPL, sharing their stories and research, along with their pathway in STEM in short, 10-minute talks highlighting their queer experiences.
