Come join renowned mountain guide Robert "SP" Parker as he tells us about his traverse of the Patagonian Ice-cap (his was the first ascent of a new route), and about the ice-climbing opportunities in our own California Sierra. SP is the established expert and author of guide-book on Sierra Ice.

The Patagonian Ice-cap is the largest ice-cap outside the Antarctic and Greenland, and home to some of the grandest peaks such as Cerro Torre, Torre Egger and Cerro Stanhardt.

This event should be of interest to climbers, skiiers, back-packers and people who dream of exploring uncharted lands!

The Caltech Alpine Club is hosting this event for free (no tickets required); there will be food, drinks, good company, and an awesome talk!
