Identifying Novel Mechanisms in Drug Discovery
Efforts to discover new drug therapies that address unmet medical needs has been the founding premise of Merck throughout its 125+ year history. Described will be a recent screening effort that led to the discovery of a novel mechanism of action (MoA) for treating an aspect of cardiovascular disease with particular emphasis on the underlying biophysics that facilitated confirmation of this novel MoA.
