OASIS Diwali 2011

Diwali is the Indian festival of lights. Traditionally, it is the biggest festival of the year; On this day, people all over the subcontinent and diaspora scattered around the world celebrate the victory of good over evil by lighting lamps, setting off fireworks, drawing rangoli (decorative Indian folk art), cooking delicacies and participating in traditional dances. This year, a number of Caltech students/staff will be performing bollywood and classical dances, bollywood and carnatic music, followed by a dandiya night open to everyone. Delicious Indian food will be served for just $5.
