A conjectural endoscopic classification via Galois representations
I will discuss the problem of formulating a conjectural endoscopic classification of algebraic automorphic representations via Galois representations. This can be thought of as a converse to Buzzard-Gee's formulation of the global Langlands conjecture, which predicts that every algebraic automorphic representation on a reductive group G has an associated Galois representation valued in the C-group of G. This is work in progress with Koji Shimizu.
