Norooz Celebration (Persian New Year)

Norooz, the Persian New Year, is a joyous occasion, celebrated by various ethnic groups worldwide, that symbolizes renewal, cultural richness, and the spirit of togetherness. After a five-year hiatus, we are thrilled to bring this celebration back to campus and share the beauty of Iranian culture with all of you.

Tickets can be purchased at this link. Tickets are $15 for students, $20 for postdoctoral scholars, and $30 for everyone else.

The event will feature traditional music, captivating dance performances, a display of Persian art, and, most importantly, a delectable spread of authentic Persian cuisine. In addition to the cultural festivities, we are excited to announce that we will have an authentic Iranian catered lunch, and a delightful assortment of pastries and snacks. The celebration will also include both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options (please bring an ID for alcoholic drinks). 

Your presence will contribute to the warmth and inclusivity of our celebration. Whether you are familiar with Norooz or experiencing it for the first time, all are welcome to join in the festivities.
