Single mode cavity to avoid parametric instability in laser gravitational wave detector
Sergey Vyachanin, Physics, Moscow State University,

To avoid parametric instability we propose to depress optical higher order modes. It means usage of so called ``single mode'' cavity, in which mirror shape differs from usual spherical profile so, that diffraction losses of main mode is about the same as in aLIGO (less than 5 ppm) whereas diffraction losses of higher order modes are increased to 5000 ppm.  There are presented current results of numerical calculation performed by code based on Hankel Transform. We  discuss tolerances on parameters setting the mirror' shapes and requirements to permissible tilt of mirror.

We plan to broadcast this talk using SeeVogh.
