LGBTQ Film Series Presents The Laramie Project (2002)
Moisés Kaufman and members of New York's Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie, Wyoming after the murder of Matthew Shepard. This is a film version of the play they wrote based on interviews they conducted. It follows, and in some cases reenacts, Shepherd's ordeal and the trial of his killers, mixing real news reports with actors telling the story in the words of friends, cops, killers, and other Laramie residents. Presented by the GSC Under-represented Students Committee and PRISM.
