LGBTQ Film Series: And the Band Played On
And the Band Played On, starring Mathew Modine and Alan Alda, is the story of the discovery of the AIDS virus. This film, which was nominated for two Golden Globe awards, spans a time period from 1978 to the eventual identification of the HIV virus. This is the first offering of the Caltech LGBT Film Series.
