All interested students, postdocs, researchers and faculty are invited to attend the:

JPL Postdoc Research Day - Poster Session
Wednesday, August 24, 2016
10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
JPL Mall Area - 4800 Oak Grove Dr, Pasadena, CA 91109

There will be 75+ posters summarizing the exciting research conducted by postdocs at JPL in:

  • Astrophysics and Space Science
  • Earth Science
  • Planetary Science and Life Detection
  • Technology, Instrumentation, and Engineering

Please RSVP via http://www.surveyshare.com/s/AYA6VNA by Tuesday August 23 at noon so that we can plan our refreshments and parking reservations accordingly.

JPL Deputy Director Larry James is scheduled to give the opening remarks at 10:45 a.m. The top poster in each category will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at 3:15 p.m. by JPL Chief Scientist Daniel McCleese.

This is a great chance to become familiar with the cutting-edge science and technology work--the basis for future missions--being conducted by JPL postdocs and their advisors. This is also an excellent opportunity to expand your network of researchers. In addition, JPL Postdoc Program Administrator Rowena Dineros will be on hand to answer questions regarding all postdoctoral programs (i.e. application, process, etc.) on the Lab, and have an overview of current open postdoc positions.

Transportation/Parking: If you are coming by car, let us know via your RSVP and we will send you a parking permit via email which you should have on the dashboard of your car as you arrive at the first security checkpoint on Oak Grove. If you can't get a ride to JPL, you may catch the JPL/Campus shuttle with your Caltech ID (you must show it to the driver).

Check-In: JPL will provide event badges to visitors as they arrive. Visitors MUST bring their IDs or they will not be allowed in to JPL (bring a driver's license if you are a US citizen or green card holder; bring a valid passport if you are a foreign national).

Food: Light refreshments are provided, and visitors are welcome to purchase sandwiches and other food items from the Rover coffee bar.
