Jazz is noted as an original American form of art.  Its history is uniquely tied to the African-American experience.  Join us for an evening of Traditional, Smooth, and Latin Jazz and enjoy the sounds of the Dave Patterson Jazz Band.  Appetizers and refreshments will be served. This event is open to the Caltech campus community.
Born in Los Angeles, David Patterson learned the "A.B.C.'s" of musicianship early on, listening to and absorbing the art of Adderly, Bird and Coltrane, then later on, Grover Washington Jr., Gerald Albright and David Sandborn.

David's passion for the saxophone has allowed him to make a living as a musician for over fifteen years from performing at LA's finest restaurants, clubs and festivals with Local Artists such as Indeya, Sean Franks and Linda Taylor to a Grammy Winning recording session with Recording Artist Etta James.
