You're the Expert, a new live show and public radio program, will be taping a special Caltech edition live on campus.

FREE and OPEN to the public.

Recommended by both The Onion and PBS NOVA, You're the Expert uses comedy to make academic research more accessible and exciting. Three hilarious comedians (with absolutely no background information) will try to guess what Professor Jose Andrade studies all day. Once they figure it out, they'll interview him about his work, why it's important, and what's new and exciting in his field. The show is fun, it's funny and you end up actually learning something. Think Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me meets a TED Talk.

This performance features panelists Myq Kaplan (Last Comic Standing, Conan, Letterman), Anna Drezen (The Onion, MTVu) and Rory Scovel (Ground Floor, Comedy Central, HBO).

Jose Andrade is a professor at Caltech whose research includes topics such as earthquake-induced liquefaction and granular materials found on Mars. If you've ever wondered about the most destructive possible way to make a smoothie or had dreams of making a sandcastle in outer space, you'll want to come see this show.
