Toward a Computational Information Theory

The field of Information Theory provides powerful and elegant mathematical tools for bounding the limits of communication networks. Application of these tools to real network systems requires new computational tools that enable the analysis of large networks. This talk proposes a strategy for building scalable computational tools for bounding network capacities.
