International Women's Day

March 8th is International Women's Day

On Friday, March 8, the Center for Diversity (CCD) and International Student Programs (ISP) host Caltech's 4th annual International Women's Day Speak Out in celebration of women* around the world. This year's theme, #BalanceForBetter, is a call-to-action for gender balance across the world. The 2019 IWD Speak Out will feature Caltech graduate student, Alex Phillips, who created and curates women.doing.science, an Instagram account with 30K+ followers, showcasing the diversity of women in STEM around the world. Other members of the Caltech community will also share short, personal testimonials about how the theme "balance for better" relates to their lives and their hopes for women worldwide.
