Abstract

Future quantum networks will connection remote quantum devices with enhanced performance of quantum applications. To connect quantum devices with different platforms, we need quantum transducers to reliably convert quantum information between different information carriers (e.g., between microwave and optical modes). We will review various quantum transduction protocols and derive fundamental limits of quantum capacities of transducers. In addition, we will discuss the idea of quantum data center for applications of computing, communication and sensing over quantum networks.
