Human Rights of Women and Girls in China by Dr. Wen Chen

Dr. Wen Chen, staff scientist and member of Caltech Women in BBE will give an overview of current human rights situation for women and girls in China. Dr. Chen, a long-term activist for Amnesty International, prepared this lecture for Washburn University Women and Gender Studies Department and is now sharing it with the Caltech community. 

There will be a 30-minute presentation and Q&A. Attendees will be invited to write support letters for families affected by human rights violations. Pastries from 85C Bakery and hot tea will be served. 

The event is free and open to the public, sponsored by Caltech BBE DEI, Women in Biology and Biological Engineering and the Caltech Center for Inclusion and Diversity.
