Caltech Playreaders 70th Season: "Holmes and Watson"
- Public Event
You are cordially invited to attend the one-time-only YouTube Premiere showing of the Caltech Playreaders' virtual performance of Holmes and Watson by Jeffrey Hatcher on February 2, 2021 at 7:30 PM PST.
Watson has traveled to an eerie island insane asylum where he has been asked to identify which one of the three patients there - all claiming to be Holmes - may be Sherlock. After all, no bodies were found three years ago when Holmes and his enemy Moriarty grappled at the top of Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland and presumably fell to their deaths. In the intervening years many imposters have stepped forward. Watson is on edge. Could one of these lunatics be the real Holmes? What follows is a masterful puzzle which will keep you guessing until it ends with the haunting, fading sound of a violin.
We have a brilliant cast of performers: K. Zachary Abbott, Holly Bender, Stephen Kellogg, Ann K Lindsey, Erica Rolufs, Steve Sobelman, and Joshua Zeller and we can't wait for you to see them in action under the direction of Peter D. Jones.
This performance will be virtual. Please go here: http://www.its.caltech.edu/~plays/2020-2021/february.html on the date of the performance for the link to the performance on Caltech's YouTube channel.
Please note that this performance is only available at the scheduled time and will not be available on YouTube afterwards.
Holmes and Watson is presented by the permission of Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
P.S. You will have to supply your own glass of sherry and cookies until we meet again in person!
