High Energy Theory Seminar
I will describe work exploring orbifolds of 2d CFTs from the point of view of holography. The best known example with a holographic
interpretation is of course the symmetric orbifold. Generalizing this I will discuss families of permutation orbifolds, and also orbifolds
of lattice CFTs. I will discuss to what extent they have holographic properties, with a particular focus on the growth of their light
spectrum.
