High Energy Theory Seminar
In this talk I will first review some aspects of the topological string/spectral theory duality and then I will apply these results to study Seiberg-Witten theory in the 4 dimensional self-dual omega background. In particular I will show that this theory admits a formulation in terms of an ideal Fermi gas. I will also discuss the relation between this construction and PainleveĢ equations and provide a proof of the duality in the 4-dimensional limit
