Getting the Most out of Canvas – live workshops on Monday, November 16, 2020
Whether you are teaching with Canvas for the first time in winter term or started in the fall and would like to get more out of this powerful platform, join us for either or both of these workshops, led by Canvas for Caltech instructors, with hands-on practice and Q&A included.
Session 1 (9:00 – 10:30 am PT) will focus on creating content (e.g., modules, pages, assignments), organizing and uploading files and videos, and publishing your course.
Session 2 (10:35 am – noon PT) will focus on timing content to unlock automatically, effective and efficient grading, and communication/engagement (e.g. discussions, video-based engagement, inbox, calendar)
Please note: These sessions will assume that, at minimum, you have already logged in to the Caltech Canvas instance and have engaged to some extent with the Caltech Getting Started with Canvas course, the ~30-minute How to Get Started with Canvas video from summer 2020, and/or done some teaching with Canvas in the fall.
