Der Himmel über Berlin "Wings of Desire" (1987)
In memory of the great Bruno Ganz:
1941 – February 16, 2019
Directed by Wim Wenders - with Peter Falk and Solveig Dommartin

A 1987 romantic fantasy film about invisible, immortal angels populating still divided Berlin. They listen to the thoughts of its inhabitants and comfort the distressed. The city is densely populated. However, many are isolated or estranged from loved ones. One of the angels (Bruno Ganz) falls in love with a beautiful trapeze artist. He chooses to become mortal so that he can experience human pleasures, enjoying food, touching a loved one, and to discover human love with the trapeze artist.

A unique film, a classic must see film – an instant cult movie. In color and monochrome – the languages of the mortals and the angels. Great sound track (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Crime and the City Solution). Many film prizes across the world – the inspiration for Kushner's Angels in America.

All interested are welcome!
