Inspired by true events in Germany (NSU 2004). After the death of her family in a terrorist attack Katja's life falls apart. Her friends and extended family try to give her support. However, the wearisome search for the perpetrators and the reason for the senseless killing complicate the difficult mourning process. She struggles as she endures the trial against two unexpected suspects: a young couple. The trial and its result pushes her to the edge and she wants justice.
