How should science feed in to the policymaking process? What can Caltech scientists do to move in to the policy world? Join us for a discussion with three Caltech scientists who have transitioned from academia to science policy, at both the state and federal level. You'll hear about their path into policy, and have the chance to ask them about their experiences.

Our panel will have Stephanie Kong (PhD 2020, now with the California Air Resources Board), Alistair Hayden (PhD 2020, now with the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services via the CCST Science Policy Fellowship), and Sean Mullin (PhD 2020, now with the office of Congressman John Garamendi via the Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship). The panel will be moderated by Ollie Stephenson, graduate student in geophysics and a member of the American Geophysical Union's 'Voices for Science' program.
