Film Screening: Günül yarasi
In this 2005 film directed by Yavuz Turgul, a man returns home to his family in Istanbul after spending 15 years teaching in a remote Kurdish village in eastern Turkey. He meets a single mother, becomes embroiled in her plight with a troublesome ex-husband, and falls in love with her. (142 minutes)
