Climate mitigation and adaptation solutions to food, energy, and water systems
Lorenzo Rosa,
Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford,
Climate change mitigation and adaptation are essential to avert extreme impacts from global warming. Dr. Rosa will show his recent research that aims to assess the potential benefits and unintended climate and environmental consequences of innovations engineered to adapt and mitigate climate change. Specifically, in this talk, Dr. Rosa will focus on i) how to adapt agriculture to water scarcity under global warming; and ii) how sustainable biomass feedstocks can mitigate climate change via bio-energy production and carbon dioxide removal.
