This workshop with Ed Discussion representatives will demonstrate how Ed Discussion helps instructors save considerable time compared to traditional email and forums due to the features below.

Ed Discussion Features/Benefits:

Ed Discussion is a quick and easy drop in for class and/or research Q&A and course communication with superior functionality and usability.  This workshop will show how to use Ed Discussion both inside and outside of Canvas, with an emphasis on organization strategies and customization.

Ed Discussion integrates seamlessly with Canvas through LTI and can also be used standalone. Moreover, Ed believes student privacy is paramount and does not share data with third parties, has no advertising, and no annoyances.

Attendees will learn best practices, useful features, and time-saving tips, and will have the opportunity to ask any questions.

Topics also include reducing emails to staff, minimizing duplicate questions, thread templates, and expressing ideas with equations, runnable code, annotations, and other methods.
