Fostering Sustainable & Equitable Community Development

Jackie Cornejo is the Southern Region Equitable Development Strategist for the Partnership for Working Families.  Jackie leads efforts to support community-based groups and leaders in the South and Southwest. She is a proud LA native with 10 years experience in social justice work in African American and Latino immigrant communities in Los Angeles that includes research, policy analysis and development, and coalition building on various issues, including food access, affordable housing, transportation, local hire, and the environment. 

Jackie will discuss her work in sustainable and community-based development and the importance of promoting equity and inclusion so that everyone benefits. She will also discuss effortd to create jobs in the green economy and what work and partnerships are still needed.

Lunch provided (Vegetarian and Vegan options) - come promptly. All members of the community are welcome to attend.
