Challenges and Opportunities for Renewable Fuel Technologies
John Gregoire, Thrust 2 Coordinator for Photoelectrocatalysis, Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP), California Institute of Technology,

Join John Gregoire, Thrust 2 Coordinator for Photoelectrocatalysis at the Joint Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (JCAP), for a discussion regarding the challenges and opportunities facing renewable fuel technologies.

About Dr. Gregoire: Dr. Gregoire's JCAP research focuses on the discovery of electrocatalysts and photoelectrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution and carbon dioxide reduction reactions (OER and CO2RR). This research involves the development of high-throughput synthesis, screening and characterization techniques and their application to explore new materials. To guide the high-throughput experiments and interpret the results, his group works closely with materials theory, synchrotron characterization, materials integration, benchmarking, and test-bed research efforts. Dr. Gregoire earned his Ph.D. from Cornell University and went on to complete his postdoctoral research at Harvard University with Dr. Joost J. Vlassak. He joined JCAP in 2011.

This event is made possible with generous support from the Caltech Y and the Resnick Sustainability Institute.

Refreshments provided - come promptly.  All members of the community are welcome to attend.
