The Caltech & JPL Community is invited to our workshop series highlighting a variety of topics chosen to encourage cultural intelligence, engage critical discourse and provide an inclusive space for the exploration of diverse identities, thoughts and interests.

Can comics support social change? What is unique about the medium? What are the ethical questions created by unleashing super-heroes into the world today? What does super-hero justice have to say about our justice system? Why do super-heroes wear masks? The focus of this workshop will be on characters who are motivated and inspired by diversity in "indie comics" as well as comics related to issues of social justice, and other genres exploring issues related to identity and diversity in other unique ways.
