CPET Webinar: "Teaching and Research at Pasadena City College (PCC)" with Professor Veronica Jaramillo

Abstract: This talk will present what teaching at a community college, specifically Pasadena City College (PCC), is like. Also presented will be an overview of PCC's early Career Undergraduate Research Experience (eCURE).  As undergraduate research is a high impact practice that increases success and equity in the chemistry classroom, PCC has incorporated early research experiences in their offerings. eCURE provides scaffolded research opportunities through a student's academic career. This tiered approach of eCURE includes course-based undergraduate research experiences, one-on-one faculty supported research projects, summer research internships, and community outreach.
