TL, DR: For someone looking for a dedicated chunk of time for writing, we are starting a writing group for postdocs from all divisions.
You may have participated in similar things before. The idea is simple, show up and do nothing but write for a block of time. Many find it helpful to be surrounded by a group, also focused on writing, to start a proposal, prepare application materials, edit a draft, or whatever other project they need to get done. This is especially true if writing or editing is not your favorite thing to do.
