11:45am to 1:00pm
Add to Cal
JPL, von Karman Auditorium
John King, President, JLS Consulting,
David Logan, Associate Dean and Associate Professor, Marshall School of Business, USC,

Most successful people have coaches. Great leaders are often recognized by their ability and willingness to be coaches for their colleagues. Jack Welch, former Chairman and CEO of General Electric, predicts that people who are not coaches in this new century will not get promoted in today's business environment.

Despite the recognized value of coaching in many areas of life, coaching is only beginning to catch on in organizations. Those managers who integrate coaching into their management style are becoming more effective leaders. Those executives who learn to lead coaching revolutions in organizations are becoming America's most sought-after talent.

Dave Logan and John King will share emerging best practices on how managers are becoming manager-coaches, including some success stories along with tales of woe.

This event is free. All JPL/Caltech personnel are welcome.
