Caltech's Cell Interaction Initiative (CI2) Seminar
Caltech's Cell Interaction Initiative (CI2) presents a special data analysis seminar with Sina Booeshaghi, Ph.D., UC Berkeley
Kidney 160
Sina will present an analysis of the Kidney 160 dataset generated by Brian Williams (Caltech SPEC & CI2). This experiment is a benchmark comparison of data quality from single mode and multimodal 10x Genomics single nucleus assays. Specifically, we will compare single-nucleus RNA-seq and single-nucleus ATAC-seq with multiome data from right kidneys collected from 4 male and 4 female 8 week old C57BL/6J mice.
A former Caltech grad student in the Pachter lab, now an HHMI Fellow at UC Berkeley, Sina's work is focused on human genomic variation within the non-protein-coding region of our genome. He works with chromatin accessibility and gene expression data in mouse models of obesity, cancer, and diabetes, aiming to produce robust genomics measurements that associate genomic variation with disease.
