Caltech Playreaders 73rd season: "The Escape"

In this version of the classic confrontation between a man and the Devil, author and Caltech alum, David Brin constructs an irreverent and fantastical nether world. The protagonist, Polo, is a self-described "lapsed scientist and literary meddler" who wisecracks and spars his way through his encounters with Satan, resisting the contract offered, by turning the rhetorical tables on the "Big D," as he calls him.
