Caltech Library Workshop – Esri ArcGIS Worskhop, Part 1: Beginners Topics (Zoom Session)

Do you want to learn a tool that is to make our world more resilient, equitable, and sustainable?  Do you like to analyze data from a wide variety of sources, from local to global scale?  Do you have a research project where you need to analyze patterns across space and time through maps and visualizations?  Do you like to get outside and collect data?  Would you like to gain some skills and perspectives that are in high demand in nonprofit organizations, private industry, government agencies, and academia?  If so, the world of geospatial technologies is at your fingertips!  

Join Joseph Kerski and Ann Masangcay from Esri, the world's largest Geographic Information Systems (GIS) organization, for a lively hands-on session on Monday 10 April and Tuesday 11 April.  Explore the basics on Monday, and return Tuesday for a deeper dive!   Learn how to make maps from spreadsheets, symbolize and classify data, make bivariate and predominance maps, build field surveys, dashboards, and multi-media story maps, and much more!  

There are no prerequisites for this free workshop, but you will need to be able to sign in to your named user ArcGIS Online account at Caltech---Your name and e-mail will be used to grant you access to ArcGIS Online for the workshop(s), therefore, please use your Caltech e-mail address when registering.
