Caltech Diveristy & Inclusion Ambassador Info Session

Come to an info session about the first cohort of: Caltech Diversity & Inclusion Ambassadors (CDIA).

Each person or group will enroll in a cohort style program that is self-paced over the course of a year and requires four areas of participation.

There are four steps to becoming and CDIA

  1. Decoding Diversity: The Caltech Center for Diversity's new one hour workshop introducing fundamental knowledge regarding diversity and inclusion topics and social justice themes.
  2. Safe Zone Training: LGBTQ+ basic terminology and skill-building techniques for being an ally in workshops held in the fall and spring. Participation in the Safe Zone initiative over the past two years in sufficient for participation in the CDIA program.
  3. Diversity Statement: Define what diversity means to you, and how it relates to your own positionality on campus, as well as how you are contributing to diversity and/ inclusion efforts on campus.
  4. Advocacy Project: Show Caltech how you are an advocate for diversity and inclusion. This is an advocacy project of your choosing. You will be assigned a CCD staff member to support you.
