Designing Engineered Cells: A New Frontier of Medicine

11:00 a.m. Reception
11:45 a.m. Luncheon and program

Treating patients with engineered cells may one day become as common as it is now to be treated with drugs made from engineered proteins, antibodies, or smaller chemicals. In partnership with the Office of Gift Planning, join Mikhail Shapiro, Caltech assistant professor of chemical engineering, to learn how he is pushing the frontiers of medicine by providing new approaches for genetically engineered cells to communicate from inside the body and help target disease sites.
