Biosafety - Comprehensive Training
All employees and researchers planning to work at Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) with microorganisms (pathogenic viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites), human blood, cell lines, or other potentially infectious human materials must complete the relevant portions of this training. Topics include:
- Key concepts in biological safety
- Biological exposure emergency response
- Prevention strategies against laboratory-acquired infectious diseases
From 3:00 to 4:30, basic Biosafety and Bloodborne Pathogens training will be offered followed by more lab specific training including training on viral vectors (Lentivirus, AAV, etc.). Not all students will need the full complement of training. Regardless of number of modules, the session starts at 3:00 PM for all students.To enroll in this course:
